LIV GUD Anti-violence Campaign
LIV GUD is the Ministry’s flagship anti-violence campaign. It is intended to foster a culture of respect, peace, and social responsibility.
Launched in 2019, the initiative emphasises community engagement to disrupt criminal activity, restore public order, and promote positive societal values.
A key component of the campaign is the Music, Sports, and Technology (MST) Programme, which targets at-risk youth aged 8 to 16. This programme offers activities such as animation, art, music, and sports, alongside sessions on literacy, numeracy and conflict resolution.
To reinforce its message, the campaign has utilised various media including murals in communities, digital and static billboards, advertisements in traditional media and the execution of the LIV GUD School Invasion.
The “Let’s All LIV GUD” activity book for children is used as a resource to engage students in activities during the School Invasions.
Through these multifaceted efforts, LIV GUD continues to inspire Jamaicans to embrace values that contribute to safer and more cohesive communities.
